abs/TRAC 850 1997

MY abs light has been coming on but will go off while driving or after restarting the car. Sounds like a classic case of the ABS control unit ?
I am curious if their is a repair to the board that can be attempted, such as resoldering the connector for the rear wheel sensors? Also aproximatelt what is the cost of a replacement unit and the book rate to r/r at a indy shop ? I am a littl short on time and need to get this fixed before a lengthy thanksgiving drive. Any response would be appreciated.
