S70 Power cuts out at low revs while waiting in a fast food line S70 1999

Has anyone had the experience of your S70 cutting off your power when you are in line for fast food at a drive-thru? It seems that my car cannot maintain the rev at 1000....so far Volvo hasn't found the answer...
