Problem Starting in the Cold Weather 850 1995

I am having trouble starting my 850 when it's cold out. Every morning I will start my car up and the car will begin to shake and show signs of a "shut down". In order to keep the car from shutting off I have to rev the gas for about 5 minutes. Any suggestions to where I should start looking. No "check engine" lights have come on so I don't know where to look. Any suggestions would be a great help.
