Hi Everyone,

I have a 98 V70 AWD, and am wondering about the air pump. I have heard it is a common failure, and with 80,000 miles on the engine, I am wondering about the symptoms. Is it something that can be heard, or does it generate a Check Engine light upon failure.

What does a normally operating one sound like, if it can be heard at all?

Just curious, and thanks.
