New to Volvos.......Is it possible to get a Smoother ride for a 1995 Volvo Wagon 850

1995 850 Wagon (non -turbo).
I recently purchased a used Volvo wagon. It is the familys first Volvo and I love the car; however,I am used to the "cushy" ride of my prior cars and am wondering if the suspension can be adjusted/altered to lessen the stiffness of the ride? (I know this is petty....but what the hell, cant hurt for askin)
