C70 build date. C70 1998

I have a 98 C70 I bought new in December of 1997. It was the first one the dealer got here on Long Island, NY. The VIN indicates it is #720. Does anybody know how I can find out when production started and how many cars per day were produced? Date codes on the mirrors indicate July 97. Any one have an earlier VIN??
