Oh,
It must be friggen christmas around here or something!!!
I sat my car in the driveway the last 10 days and never moved it. I go outside today and it is now a permanent lawn ornament! Tried to start it and no go (cranks fine but does not start and i don't smell any gas). Noticed that the shift arrow was flashing on the dash and the lights were flashing on the WSE (winter/sport/economy) switch too.
Tonight i checked the error codes and i am seeing 223 when plugged into the A1 (electronic transmission) socket. I have the code book and this means "throttle position (TP) sensor signal low". I tried to reset the error code too but i would not take. When i tried i could hear something upfront in the car make a small "whirr" sound. Needless to say the error code came back instantly.
I read some old posts and this seems like it could be the PNP switch? Is this error common and when it occurs does it usally prevent you from starting your car? Does it take long to change this switch? Any other ideas?
Any help would be appreciated, looks like i may have to tow it soon.
Thanks
Jeff
