I bought a used headlight wiper motor to replace the dead one on my car's passenger side. Thought I'd be smart and made sure it worked before removing the old one.
Using a Haynes manual it took about an hour to get the old one out and 20 minutes to install the new and button everthing back up. Still not something I'd do just for fun.
Damn if I wasn't sold a driver's side motor and it turns the wrong way! I've tried to contact the salvage yard owner in Knoxville for an exchange but no response yet. I stated repeatedly I needed the passenger side motor in our correspondence and was told that's what I'd get.
After the discovery I noticed the dead motor has an "R" (right) stamped on it and I'm sure the one I installed has an "L".
So I've probably lost $35. Unless anyone out there has a right side motor they'd part with or trade for my left side?
Really, I'm tempted to remove them both and put rubber plugs in the holes. They certainly don't do much.
Cheers,
