Hello everyone,

My father and I will be flying to New Jersey and driving home to Memphis in two vehicles January 19 and 20, Sunday and Monday.

We’re visiting his brother in Jackson NJ who is giving my dad his ’88 Toyota 4X4 and I’m picking up my ’88 745 I’ve gone on about so much here.

I was going to do this solo until my dad learned of the free 4X4 waiting for him and decided to come along.

He’s 72 and while he claims he’ll be fine putting in two 9 – hour days behind the wheel severe weather or a breakdown of either vehicle would tax us both.

Of course we hope for a smooth return trip but I’m that if anyone out there might offer a phone number as an emergency contact along the along the Interstate 81 and 40 route we’ll be traveling from NJ to Memphis. Our plan is to make Bristol TN by Sunday evening and Memphis by Monday pm. Anyone?

An owner’s phone list might be something I’d like to put together for Brickboard or separately down the road. The Moto Guzzi National Owner’s Group has a volunteer service made up of members who are willing to offer help or just a cup of coffee to fellow owners. Of course, Guzzis, like Volvos, never break down do they.
