I recently bought a well-maintained 1993 Volvo 850 GLT, the seller's mechanic had reccommended a replacement of the A/C evaporator. He didn't seem to think it was that big of a problem, he took off close to $600 off his asking price, but I've heard it can cost like $1000 for replacement. Any alternatives, like recharging? I'm sure this is a common problem....right...any info would be very helpful, thanks. Volvo owner in MA.
