ABS light on (Wife doesn't want to use black tape) 850 1997

At just over 90,000 miles, my wife's 850 GLT ABS light came on. The brake fluid was closer to the lower level line than the top (but still 1/4 inch or so above). I topped up the brake fluid and it went off, unfortunately only temporarily. Before I take it in, is there anything else I should try? Is there some 90,000 mile service interval deal with ABS, so the light came on based on the odometer? BTW, a search for ABS on this board returns 64 hits, all RWD. I find it hard to believe there are no archives for 850 ABS. Am I searching wrong?
