Hi,

My name is Alex and I live in the UK. I drive a '98 V40 2.0i and have had it now for 4 months. I always liked the look of the V40 but could never afford one before so when I found this one with one previous owner, FSH, leather interior and 70k miles I went for it.

I thought the ride was a bit hard to start with having preiously driven a Peugeot 405 estate but I am used to it now and feel very comfortable driving the V40. I might consider an S60 in a few years when I don't have the need for an estate anymore (young kids at present!).

I have a few niggling problems that I am trying to get resolved, so if you can help reply to this message.

1) Rattle in the boot when driving on rough roads. Had the load cover out and the seats down so it can't be anything to do with those. Suspect it might be the trim on the inside of the tailgate, but any ideas gratefully received.

2) Scuff marks on the bumpers (by the previous owner), any ideas as to how to remove/cover?

3) Leaking boot, noticed a small amount of water in the spare wheel area but I don't know where it is coming from, any ideas?
