S70 ECU Duct S70

I have a 98 S70 t5 and ductwork from ecu to area arond radiator is cracked. It is cracked at the flexible joint. Part # is 3545307. How important is this part and should it be replaced or could it be repaired with duct tape? Thanks in advance.
