Odometer- should it smoothly turn or is the 1/10 wheel kinda jerky? I have a '97 850

850, base model, that is new to me. I noticed recently that the 1/10th's wheel on the trip meter turns with kind of a jerky movement- pretty minor but unmistakable. On all other cars I've had the 10th's wheel spins very smoothly. Just wanted to touch base with the veterans out there to see if this is something to be alarmed about. My first thought was "oh Sh*#- the odometer is undependable and now I've no confidence in the 46K it shows." Just bought the car 2 weeks ago.
