volvo parts warranty 850

I was wondering whether the 1yr warranty on volvo parts applies to their brake discs if I install them myself or have an independent repair shop do it. I have gone through 2 sets of rotors in the last 2 years. Both of them warped pretty bad. I am also going to replace the caliper this time because i heard that could be the cause.
