'Foamy' Oil on Dipstick 850 1995

Yesterday when I was checking the oil on my wife's 1995 855T the oil on the dipstick appeared foamy. It was a very light brown in color. The car has 97,227 miles on it and the last oil change was at 95,000. The oil is changed every 5000 miles using 10W30. Why did the oil look like this ? Is there a problem and what can be done to correct it ?
