Replacement tires C70 2001

It's time for me to replace the tires on my C70 convertible (17in) and I would like to replace them with anything BUT Pirelli this time. Something with a little longer wear and more reasonably priced or at least more acurately priced for the quality. Road noise is also a factor. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have spent a lot of time on the Tire Rack site and found a few tires but I didn't find too many comments from Volvo owners about any of them and I am discovering that what might be a great tire on one make is horrible on another.
