S70 Owner looking at buying this 98 C70 S70 2000

I usually reside on the S70 board, not venturing too far from there despite the shared components with the C70. But we are all one big brick family, Right!?

My fiancé and I own a 5 speed 2000 S70 and are now looking at replacing her old 93 Taurus with a C70.

We've seen a couple 98 C70's come and go around the Atlanta area some more expensive than others, but never a 5-speed manual. Well now I've found one... but it's in MA and on eBay. :| I'm leery of purchasing a car I haven't seen or inspected, so I'm aware of that issue. I believe after tearing down my S70 so much I would know what to look for, but you guys and gals own this car so I'm looking for your insights.

Here is the car:

I guess a copy and past will be necessary for that address.

My common knowledge is telling me this so far: It’s a 98 and electrical issues may be a problem, how can I check if the car's air compressor has been replaced or is near death... I figure that could be a big problem, look at that shifters in the pictures...is that shifter boot normal...my S70 shifter is missing that ring just below the knob...strange, and lastly the carpet seems to be a darker color off the console on the driver's side...would that be a sign of compressor failure...the dump water into the cabin if I remember right.

Ok, thanks for any responses. This board has always helped me before.
