Thanks to all who repsonded to my post of yesterday (2/28) regarding the purchase of a replacement AT for my 1995 850. From what info I have gathered it would seem more prudent to purchase one from Volvo rather than a scrapyard or someone else. I called two Volvo dealers within 25 miles of where I live yesterday and was surprised to find out that the price varies. One dealer wanted $1,810 plus a $600 core charge plus $90/hr labor. The next one quoted me $1724 with no core charge and $85/hr labor. Anyone know of a Volvo dealer that might even sell one for less? What about that dealership named "Borton" I think I have heard mentioned before on this board?
