850 Transmission Slipping 850

Hi, I posted this same problem about a week ago, but didn't get any responses. I have a '96 850 turbo wagon and my automatic transmission started slipping until it wouldn't go anymore. It started by not shifting from 1st into 2nd, then if would rev up more then it would go, but still move. Then after about 30 seconds, it wouldn't move at all, as if it was in neutural. I'm wondering if this is a big problem, or something I can fix myself. Has anybody else had this problem? the car has about 105k miles on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
