V70 (1998) Front Lights Issue V70-XC70 1998

For the past week I hve noticed my front lights and instrumentation panel does not work. The taillights and parking lights are OK and the daytime running lights work in the off position. I can toggle the switch and it does come on but it will not stay. Do you think I have a short in the switch mechanism? Any ideas or comments would be greatly appreciated.
