Looking at a '98 XC AWD, 30k, very nice, $21.5k. Will throw in a third seat. Small independent Volvo/Saab dlr/repair shop. Offers Wynn extended warranty. 4yr, 48k for ~$1800. I haven't seen it, but he says it covers just about everything that's not rubber. Shop has sold 30-40 XCs and has never replaced a bevel gear. He appears to be honest, it's more of a shop than a dealer.
I'm having trouble talking my wife into a FWD v70. Even though our '92 Maxima has never gotten stuck.
Is this reasonable?
I really wanted to spend $20k, but he is not moving based on miles and condition, and adding another $2k doesn't help.
I worry that the warranty expires at just the wrong mileage.
Thanks,
Peter
