STC Light Flashes S70 1999

1999 S70 T5M, 31K miles. Occassionally on dry pavement while accelerating from a stop my STC light flashes as if the front wheels are loosing traction. Power is reduced while the STC light is flashing. Touching the brakes returns things to normal. Any ideas of cause? Thanks.
