Just scored my rotor, need advice on ABS components S70 1998

My rear brake pads wore prematurely when i least expected it. When i figured out that my discs were being scored i carefully drove home using my handbrake to stop in order not to permanently damage my rotor. After resurfacing my slightly scored rotor and installing new pads i'm reading on the brickboard archives that metal shavings may have adhered to the ABS speed sensor magnets. This may put the system into default and trigger a warning light. Should i go back in there and try to "clean things up" ? Is there a maintenance item about keeping ABS components clean from brake dust and debris? So far my ABS warning light is not on but i'm a little paranoid.
The RWD section of brickboard shows that we should clamp down the brakehose and opening the bleeder valve when collapsing the pistons into the caliper. This prevents brake fluid contaminants from entering into the ABS unit. I've never seen this topic in AWD postings. Correct me if i'm wrong but i assume this stands with my S70 all ABS equipped vehicles. Thanks in advance for your comments and recommendations.
Ari,
