Accidentally overfilled oil about half a quart. 850 1994

When I was driving the other day, the car stalled all of a sudden. I was able to restart it immediately. The only thing I did was change the oil recently so I checked the dipstick, it looks like I overfilled the engine by about 1/2 a quart. Can this be the cause of the stall? Should I just drain the excess oil or is it no big deal?
