95 Turbo Wagon Transmission Leak

My new to me turbo wagon has a slow drip from the trans. PO said that the transmission was replaced with a 60K mile unit several months ago. Looks like is coming from the outboard most end of the transmission (end cap) - Leaking between end cap & trans body. Has anyone ever had a similar situation - can the end cap be pulled whil in car? (I dont think so, but ya never know) Thanks for the help
