Front Courtesy lights and Rear seat reading lights V70-XC70 1998

I have noticed that my front courtesy lights/rear seat reading lights have stopped slowly dimming on when I open the door. I read over the manual carefully, have all the buttons in the correct position but still no lights slowly dimming on when I open the doors. Any suggestions....thanks.. V. Valadez
