threading speaker wires to front door 850 1995

i was able to pass my own speaker wire thru the rubber grommets to the door for the rear doors. however, for the front, there is not hole...or at least...the front isn't the typical rubber over wire thing...it's a socket type where there's no space. anyone have any idea what to do other than cutting into the stock speaker wires?
