Low Coolant Light? S70 1999

The 'Low Coolant' dash light came on today but is at the max level. The engine temperature is fine. I added some distilled water to bring the coolant level slightly above the max mark but the coolant light is still on.

Seems like a problem with the coolant sensor. I checked for loose connections but didn't find anything. Has anyone else had this happen?
