I have a general question on brakes. I hope i can get an answer because
when i start working on my volvo i dont want any problems.

Well here goes:

My wife has a 93 honda accord LX. She was complaining about a sqealing
noise. Later i found there were no rear brakes left.

The accord has a floating caliper. Basically I take two bolts off and the rear
caliper comes off. I put the new pads in and line up the bumps on the
inner pad to fit in the slots on the piston and put everything back
together. I turn the rotor prior to tightening up the bolts and it
moves freely with no friction. I then tighten things up and the wheel
begins to be hard to turn. I figured it should be a bit tight as they
are new brakes. I test drive the car and i smell a burning smell after
5 minutes and the wheel and rotor are now very hot. I dont have alot
of experience doing this so i am asking for help. Some how something
doesnt seem right.

I saw the volvo speed website and things look easy but when i dont have
alot of experience everything seems harder.

Any ideas?
