Tire Size / ABS 850

I am putting 17 x 7.5 wheels on a 96 850 wagon and have been told by the tire salesman that because of the change in diameter size I should put 215/45 rather than 225/45 tires on this wheel. Although the odometer and speedometer would be only negligibly affected, it would have more serious affects on the ABS brakes. Does anybody know if this is true? Thank you, Peter
