Loud idling noise, & did I get a oil change? 850

My '96 850, while sitting in traffic, with the foot brake on and car in drive, makes a louder than usual idling noise. any ideas? but the car runs fine in drive.

took the 850 for a oil change and other raditor related problems to the dealer(palisades volvo in NY)
I notice that they didn't replace the next oil change sticker, on a wim decide to check the dipstick, no oil. Did they forget to change the oil??? this was two-three weeks after the supposed oil change..

took it back to dealer, they said they definately changed the oil, but there is no leak, unusual for engine to eat up that much oil. they filled it back up and told us to come back after 500 miles.

Am i getting shafted by the dealer???
