Excessive Oil Comsumption On 'Younger' Car 850

Hello,

We own an 850 wagon with about 115K miles on it. Over the past year I've noticed the car seemed to be losing *alot* of oil. I've reset the odometer between oil top offs and found that we lose an average of 1 quart / 1000 miles.
I've parked the car over a clean garage floor, and can't find any evidence of oil leaks. The engine seems to have full compression. Also, we haven't noticed any evidence of oil coming out the tail pipe, since the back window stays clean.
I am ... baffled. Does anyone have an idea of how I could be losing this much oil???
