Greetings,
With the warm weather, I've been driving some with the windows down. Last week I noticed a "chirp" from the front-end that occurs under two conditions:
- when making a slow-speed (under 5 mph) sharp turn, either left or right.
- when there is a significant change in torque, such as rolling v-e-r-y slowly forward and shifing into reverse, or vise versa.
The XC has 64K miles. Purchased less than 2k miles ago, and unfortunatly I have no service history on the car.
Is it needle bearings in the U-joints? Is this significant or benign? Do I need to worry if the car is leaving soon on a 2000 mile trip?
I appreciate any ideas...

p.s. - is it possible to get the service history on a vehicle from any Volvo dealer? If so, what does it cost?
