I've been the owner of 2 240 wagons, and just recently purchased a 1995 850 Turbo Wagon. After driving the cumbersome 240's for about 10 years, it really feels nice to step into the nineties with something that has some pep. I'm quite impressed with the acceleration the Turbo engine provides. However, when I really floor the accelerator, I find the engine will hiccup. I couldn't say for sure, but I'd say somewhere around 5500 rpm's. Is this a preventive measure that Volvo has put in place? Is there some sort of sensor that does not allow for the car to accelerate any quicker? Thanks in advance.
