AM radio static V70-XC70 2000

Three times now the AM radio reception has deteriorated. Lots of static, more when I am accelerating, even when I am braking. Seems to me there is an electrical interference problem. My dealer's repair shop has replaced the radio twice, but the problem keeps coming back. Something tells me its not the radio. What do you think?
