My 854R has a refrigerant leak
(how could the prev. owner not know about this?? grrr)

It's a leak decent-sized enough that the volvo dealer recharged
my A/C about a week ago and already it's lost a fair amount
of cooling ability. They already checked everything that's NOT
under the dashboard, for a leak. They found no leaks (they injected a
fluorescent dye that illuminates when exposed to UV light).

This morning I dropped it off at the dealer again and they will be looking inside
the dashboard for the leak. I'm hoping its just a connector or a gasket,
but I am aware that two expensive parts (any others?) lie inside that area -
the evaporator and condenser. Does anyone know approximately what it would
cost to replace either of those components? I am asking now,
so hopefully by later today if they tell me some bad news, i'll know if they
are trying to jack me on the price or not...
