Actually, I think it's the "I need another Volvo" bug. I was surfing the net for prices on 855s. I saw this cherry red '94 855 turbo. I read the ad..."turbo," "all power," and "excellent condition" caught my eyes. I called and was told that it has about 134k miles on it. The asking price is $5999. I'm in love. I have not gone to look at it yet because I really don't need another car and it would be a waste of time, I suppose knowing that I'm not going to get it. But, I'm afraid if I go, I might really like it and buy it. I think I can manage the price. It's red, it's a wagon, it's a turbo...my ideal next Volvo. See, here's my problem. I would like to get a later model 855. But if there is no real difference in the 1994 and all later 855s, then should I go for this '94? In regards to body and any physical areas (e.g., lights, grille, etc.) Is the 1994 855 exactly the same as the '95-97 855s? I just know that there have been changes to interior things, such as side air bags on '95 turbos, TRACS added, and other things in later models. See, I figure that if the 94 is no different than later models in regards to body design, then maybe I should go for this wagon. However, if it is different in even the slightest, then maybe I should wait a bit for a 96-97 855 to drop in price. The 850 has always been my favorite Volvo, and I will get one! But I don't want to jump in too soon. Is 134k too high of a mileage for the asking price? When I go look at it, what should I look for and what questions should I ask? Eeek, I'm already planning tolook at it! RED, TURBO, WAGON = COOL SLEEPER!
