Reading some other boards I see that the Upsolute and Speedtuning ECU upgrades can be had for around $325 (price varies slightly for engine and socket installation option). From the info that I can gather, the ECUs behave in a similar manner. I'm going to try the Upsolute since they are local to me.

Here's the info for the Speedtuning chip

Send your ECU carefully packaged to the address listed below.

You need to include three things along with your ECU:
1. Payment with cashier's check or money order made payable to Speedtuning
2. Include a list consisting of the following information: model, engine size/type, and engine modifications
3. A return shipping label. This is a must.
The cost is $275 for the 2.3 HPT Turbos and $300 for the 2.4 N/As and LPT turbo engines. Include an additional $25 if you wish to have the ECU socket.
