Are the AM/FM/Cassette units compatible across the year models 850 1993

Curious to know if the factory stereo's in the 850 are compatible across
multiple year models. More specifically, would the stereo from a 1994
850 fit in a 1993 model... and what about later years 1994-97 perhaps? Assuming the same number of speakers? Would they fit physically?
Does the wiring match, etc...
