A/C blower motot cuts off 850 1995

My 850 has the automatic climate control. When the outside temp is over 90, the A/C blower cuts off after a few minutes. If I shut the car off and back on, the A/C works again. If I'm on the highway and it cuts off, I open the vents and the A/C still works through the forced air. I read some previous posts and replacing the power stage was suggested. Will this solve my problem?
