In search of a quiet ride on secondary roads S80 2000

I'm no mechanic. My 2000 S80 has 90K - Is is time for new suspension or ??? Great ride on highway - creaky on secondaries. I'd appreciate hearing others experience and advice. Sorry to read unflattering posts re 2000 S80 - bought mine used - no extended warranty (ouch) - but so far has been very good. Will keep my fingers crossed.
