S*0 Trunk Liner S80

I bought a used S-80 2000. Was replacing brake lights and looked up at the trunk roof. I noticed it is exposed to all of the wires and rear speakers. The rest of the trunk is lined with carpet including the trunk door. Is there supposed to be a liner there?
