MP3 player into SC801 850

I have an 850 estate with an SC801 Radio Cassette. This unit supports a CD multichanger (which I do not have) through a double DIN plug on the rear of the unit.
I was wondering if anyone has made up a cable that will allow a mobile MP3 player to be plugged in to the double DIN plug. I do not want one of those cassette adaptors as they look a bit naff!
I have no idea what pins to connect to or if this is indeed possible.
