A month or so ago, the Brake light came on in my '94 850. I checked all the wheels and didn't see any evidence of leaking and topped off the MC. The light flashed on again yesteday. I know the pads are not wearing that fast. Sure enough the MC is getting low again.
The ABS pump has three fittings visible right below the MC. The two in the rear have what look like flare fittings and these are totally dry. The front fitting is bullet shaped and it is damp and collecting dirt. By the way, there is also a fluid distribution block or maybe the pressure differential switch mounted very near this assembly. The one tube connected to this block is very close to the bullet shaped fitting and is also wet. I can't tell for sure which one, but it sure looks like one or the other of these two fittings is leaking. I think it is the bullet shaped fitting on the ABS pump.
What type of fitting is this connection? Is there any harm in trying to tighten this fitting? Is there a seal inside here that I should replace?
TIA for your help.
