AC unit blower/Fan is much louder than usual....Problem? V70-XC70 1998

Recently, the ac unit on my 98 V70 (non turbo) is much louder than usual. It's been very hot here in TN, but it didn't do this last summer in the same heat. Usually, you can barely ear the unit running, but recently it's been very audible and the amount of noise seems to increase with fan speed. This issue is intermittent (i've witnessed it do this twice now) and usually creeps up after driving for a while (~1 hr or more). I recently had evap coil, rec. dryer and expansion valve replaced. Any ideas?
