minor oil spill next to driver's front wheel...opinions? 850

When I pulled my '94 850 wagon out of the driveway this morning a noticed a small liquid spill next to the front driver's wheel. Can anyone help explain this?
I checked my oil and it was a little under the half-way between the two marks on the dipstick, and the car seems to be driving the same as always. I filled the reserve up with some new oil.
I have noticed a clicking sound in the driver's side suspension...could that have anything to do with it? The car tracks and steers fine.
