Uh...

How on earth do I replace the wiper blades? On the old BMW 318iS i replaced the arm/blade combo each time so it didn't really matter a whole lot. But on the 850R the arm is...well... complex and has some kind of wind deflector on it, so I assume that I'm not going to replace it. Ok. I found blades at a store, just the rubber parts. In fact I found no 21" blades for this car so i'll buy the DIY cut-your-own-length blades. The problem is... how the *@#$ do the rubber blades come out of the arm? Also, on each blade is a silver metal piece or something going around pretty much the length of the blade. The new blades don't have this. How can I take this all apart, replace the pieces and put it all back together?

I had no problem removing the cylinder head from my BMW, but I can't change the wipers on my 850R.... man either I am getting stupid or these wipers are a bit on the technologyfied end of things....
