Currently I own a 1994 850 T5 with 109k on the clock. Although this car will be ten years old next year it still drives as good if not better in my view as a three-four year old Ford with half the mileage.

What I'm wondering about though is how long before major work will probably be required.

I have heard thet the auto transmission on these "great cars" is the main achilees heel but is there anything else such as cylinder head, catalytic convertor,etc. From your experience what can one expect in mileage before these major components require overhaul/replacement.
