This is a 1998 Volvo S70. There is a whirring noise, almost like a dull whistle coming from the right front area of the car. Occurs while driving in a straight line. The sound begins during acceleration, regardless of acceleration rate. During braking, the sound pitch reduces and stops as the car stops, sometimes just before the car stops. No relation to engine speed, just vehicle speed. No change during turns. Brakes have been replaced recently with no effect. Any obvious suggestions? CV joints, wheel bearings, etc.? Thanks. - Bill
